Rabbi Andrew Israeli has been a regular at Keter Torah for some time. His sharing of Torah and his engaging personality have been wonderfully received. He offers many shiurim and learning opportunities, helps lead minyanim, and is a creative force at our Shul. He also interacts and speaks with our teenagers. Rabbi Israeli is a graduate of Yeshiva University and received his Semicha from RIETS. He has taught at Yeshivat Frisch for the past five years and spends his summers as the Associate Program Director of the NCSY Kollel. Rabbi Israeli, his wife Racheli, and their two sons live in Bergenfield and are super excited to be part of the Keter Torah family.
Rabbi Simcha Willig
Rabbi Andrew Israeli
Rabbi Simcha Willig, joined our Rabbinic Staff in 2018, works with Rabbi Baum to expand the spiritual, intellectual and social opportunities at our shul. He is particularly interested in the development of young leadership at the shul and has launched a new Shabbat minyan that meets several times a month. He offers a popular whatsapp shiur on Tefilla to the entire membership. Rabbi Willig has profound ideas about the Jewish community and a deep appreciation for what is happening at Keter Torah.
Rabbi Willig is an instructor at Yeshiva University's James Striar School and a beloved Rebbe at The Frisch School, as well as serving as a summer rabbi at the Jewish Center of Atlantic Beach. Rabbi Willig received his rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University's Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS). He has a master's degree in secondary education from the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration and a doctorate from NYU in Education and Jewish Studies. Prior to coming to Keter Torah, Rabbi Willig was an assistant rabbi at the Young Israel of Scarsdale. He is married to Sari (Stein) Willig, who is a graduate of Ma'ayanot High School for Girls and Midreshet Moriah, has a B.A. in Psychology from Stern College and has an M.S.W. from Hunter College. The Willigs reside with their young children in Bergenfield.
