Keter Torah News

{     We thank all who participated in the Kol Nidrei appeal. If you have not yet redeemed your pledge, please do so by contacting Yossi Katz at Josefkatz@gmail.com or the Shul office as soon as possible.

{     Keter Torah is hosting an event this Sunday. Parking spaces will be available for Mincha/Ma’ariv, but if possible, please walk to Shul.

{     To volunteer as a Ba’al Kriah for the 8:10am weekday Shacharit minyanim, see Akiva Sausen or Stan Potash.

{     There will be a Carlebach style minyan next Friday, November 7, at 4:30pm in the Beit Midrash.

 

ATARA News

{     This Sunday is Mitzvah Day, from 11:00am-1:45pm at the JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly and from 1:00-4:00pm at Solomon Schechter Day School in New Milford. JCC participants will play games and sing songs with seniors in the early stages of Alzheimer’s or dementia; Schechter participants will work on projects for local institutions & communities in Israel. Youth News

{     This Shabbat between Mincha and Ma’ariv, Ari Weisbrot will speak at the monthly Seuda for children in grades 4-8. Sushi will be served.

{     Children in kindergarten through fourth grade are invited to the KTYD PJ movie night on Motzei Shabbat, November 15, at 6:15pm. No reservations are needed and pizza will be served. For more information, e-mail rivki19@yahoo.com.

{     Children in grades 5-8 are invited for miniature golf, basketball and batting cages on Motzei Shabbat, November 15, from 7:00-9:00pm. Drop off and pick up at Bogotá Golf Course, 30 Cross Street, Bogotá. No reservations are needed and pizza will be served. Community News

{     This year, the Teaneck Shuls fundraiser is raising money for Tomchei Shabbos of Bergen County, an organization dedicated to providing Shabbat meals to needy Jewish families in Bergen County. To donate, contact Shari Lindenbaum at 201-833-1950.

{     This Sunday, after the 8:00am Shacharit at Rinat, Rabbi Menachem Leibtag will speak on “The ‘Reishit Tzmichat Geulateinu’ that led to ‘Churban Bayit Rishon’: The Early Years of Yoshiyahu in Light of Sefer Yirmiyau.”
