{     Meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays, Torah in the AM offers a Navi Chavura studying sefer Shoftim from 9:00-9:30am and an interactive, intermediate/advanced Gmara shiur studying the sixth Perek of Bava Metzia with Rabbi Menahem Meier from 9:30-10:30am

 

Yamim Noraim

{     If you have not yet done so, please send in your Yamim Noraim seat reservations, by fax, e-mail, mail or through our website, www.ketertorah.org. All obligations to the Shul must be paid or addressed before seats can be allocated. For special situations, contact Rabbi Baum or Howard; all matters will be dealt with confidentially. Anyone interested in a Vatikin minyan should check the appropriate box on the order form and we will contact you with further information.

{     Keter Torah is proud to host High Holiday explanatory services again this year. Led by Rabbi & Mrs. Dan Coleman, this outreach program will provide attendees the opportunity to explore the significance of the High Holidays and the meaning behind the prayers. Children’s programs will also be available. Please tell your friends, family and colleagues about this wonderful opportunity. For more information, please call the Shul office.

 

Keter Torah News

{     Keter Torah is hosting an event this Monday. Parking spaces will be available for Mincha / Ma’ariv, but if possible, please walk to Shul.

{     There will be a blood drive this Wednesday at Keter Torah, from 2:00-8:00pm. Donate blood and receive a complimentary cholesterol screening. All donors must present signed or picture ID. For more information call the Blood Center of New Jersey at 866-968-2265.

{     Please send Sabrina, at sabrina@ketertorah.org , the e-mail addresses of students attending Yeshivot in Israel or out of state colleges in the U.S. this coming year.

{     Anyone aware of new families who have moved into the area, please let the Shul office know so that we may welcome them into our community.

 

ATARA News

{     Next Shabbat, August 23, at 4:30pm, Rivka Kahan, Assistant Principal, teacher and Chair of the Tanach and Halacha departments at Ma’ayanot, will speak on “The Eyes of the Lord Are Always Upon It: Images of Eretz Yisrael in Chumash.” To co-sponsor, contact Becky Katz at beckyavi@optonline.net or 201-693-1117.

{     ATARA’s pre-yom tov hat sale will be held on Wednesday, September 17. Details to follow.

{     On Sunday, September 14, Sharsheret will participate in the NYC Race for the Cure, a monumental breast cancer fundraising and awareness event. To join Team Sharsheret, contact Ahuva Furst at 201-833-2341 or afurst@sharsheret.org .

{     The NCSY annual Bergen County Scholarship Breakfast, raising funds for Jewish public school teens to attend NCSY programs, will be held on Sunday, September 14, at the home of Ruthy & Joey Bodner, 1410 Somerset Gate, Teaneck. For more information call the NJ NCSY office at 201-862-0250.

{     On Sunday, September 14, from 2:30-5:00pm, in the West Parking Lot of the Garden State Plaza, the Friendship Circle will have a 5k charity walk and community fair to raise awareness for local children with special needs.
