{ On Shabbat, August 9, the Hashkama shiur will be given by Rav Yosef Carmel, Av Beit Din of the Beit Din, Mishpat Ve’Halacha BeYisrael, and Rabbinical Dean of the Eretz Hemdah Institute for Advanced Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, on the topic “Why Did the Menashe Tribe get a Place on the East Side of the Jordan? What Did the Daughters of Tzlofhad Really Want?”

Schacter, University Professor of Jewish History and Jewish Thought at Yeshiva University and Senior Scholar at YU’s Center for the Jewish Future, on Tisha B’Av, Sunday, August 10. Rabbi Schacter will explain the Kinot in accordance with the teachings of Rabbi Soloveitchik, zt”l. This program will be broadcast live on www.yutorah.org/tishabav.
