The YU Keter Torah Summer Kollel is back!

Elementary, junior high, and high school aged boys are invited to come to

Keter Torah to learn with members of the Yeshiva University Keter Torah Summer Kollel. 

One-on-one learning opportunities with YU Kollel members are available, Monday through

Thursday, from 4:30 – 5:30pm, 5:30-6:30pm, and 8:00-9:00pm.

The YU Women’s Beit Midrash Youth Program offers one-on-one chavruta learning for

girls with a YU Beit Midrash Fellow on Tuesdays from 5:00 – 6:00pm at Keter Torah.

Torah in the AM

Starting this Tuesday, July 8 and continuing every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10:30am throughout the summer, Rabbi Menahem Meier will give an interactive, intermediate/advanced Gmara shiur studying the sixth Perek of Bava Metzia.

 

Keter Torah News

{     The 8:30am Shabbat morning parsha shiur is on summer break.  Please share with Rabbi Baum any ideas and suggestions for which commentary you would like to learn when the shiur resumes.

{     Thank you to Jeremy Kaye & Gavi Dov Hochsztein for their help in the office this week.

{     Rabbi Baum will give a shiur on “Hakarat Hatov and the Significance of Staying in Shul for the Haftorah” on Tuesday, July 15, at 7:30pm at the home of Gitty & Sammy Eisner, 351 East Woodland Road, New Milford.

{     The YU Summer Kollel offers the following additional daily minyanim at Keter Torah: Shacharit at 8:15am; Mincha Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 2:00pm, and Wednesday at 4:15pm.

{     During the quiet summer months, please help by paying any balance on your Keter Torah account. Please be advised that all obligations to the shul must be paid or addressed before High holiday seats can be allocated; seat applications will be available in mid-July. For special situations, contact Rabbi Baum or Howard; all matters will be dealt with confidentially.

{     Women and girls, ages 10 and up, are invited to a weekly Tehillim Chaburah on Tuesdays from 9:00-9:30pm.  This week’s meeting will be at the home Gabi Altman, 727 Dearborn Street, Teaneck.

{     Anyone aware of new families who have moved into the area, please let the shul office know so that we may welcome them into our community.

 

ATARA News       

{     Children are encouraged to participate in birthday or bar/bat mitzvah ma’aser by donating a gift to Chai Lifeline for a less fortunate child.  For more information contact Chana Besterman, 201-385-6666.

{     Summer youth groups for children 3 years old through second grade continue this Shabbat.

 

Community News

{     This Sunday after the 8:00am Shacharit at Rinat Yisrael, Rabbi Yoel Bin Nun will speak on “The Relationship Between Vayikra and Bamidbar: Why are Parshat Hamusafim & Para Aduma in Bamidbar Instead of Vayikra?”

{     This Monday, July 7, after the 8:00pm Mincha at Bnai Yeshurun, Rabbi Yonasan Sacks will speak on “Issues in Arvei Psachim.”

 

 


We continue to pray for the good health and speedy return of Gilad Shalit (Gilad ben Aviva) and the other members of the IDF who are still missing.
