Torah in the AM

Meeting Tuesday & Thursday, from 9:00am to noon, Torah in the AM provides an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in shiurim and Chavruta study.

Keter Torah News

{     Next Shabbat, following Mincha at 7:50pm, Rabbi Dr. Mordechai Cohen, Associate Professor of Bible at Yeshiva University, will speak on “The Literary Art of Biblical Narrative in the Book of Ruth”. Rabbi Cohen will return to Keter Torah on June 7, Parshat Naso, to speak at Seudah Shlishit on “Theology of Hesed in Ruth: From Human to Divine.”

{     Keter Torah is hosting an event this Sunday morning. Parking spaces will be available for Shacharit, but, if possible, please walk to Shul.

{     The next Carlebach style minyan will be on Friday, May 30, at 6:45pm.

{     Rabbi Menachem Leibtag, a pioneer of Torah education via the internet, will be our Shavuot scholar-in residence. His weekly essays on Parshat Ha’shavua are read by thousands of subscribers worldwide and reflect over twenty years of experience as a student and teacher at Yeshivat Har Etzion in Israel. ATARA News       

{     ATARA’s annual Membership Event, featuring a cookie decorating class with Ann Holler, will take place this Sunday, May 18, from 8:00pm-9:30pm at the home of Heidi Kuperman, 1106 Allessandrini Avenue, New Milford.

{     The Spring Tea, acknowledging the contributions of Dassi Silverman and Naomi Rosen to ATARA, will be held on Shabbat, May 31, at 4:30pm at Keter Torah. {     Rav Hershel Schachter’s weekly shiur continues Thursday at 9:00pm at Bnai Yeshurun.

{     This Sunday, May 18, at Beth Aaron, Rabbi Hershel Schachter will speak at 8:00pm on “Marriage in Halacha and Hashkafa,” and Rabbi Mordechai Willig will speak at 8:45pm on “Marriage and Machlokes: Middos, Parents/In-Laws and Divorce.”
