{     Rabbi Yuval Cherlow, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Hesder of Petach Tikva, Senior Member of the Tzohar Rabbinical leadership and noted author, is our scholar-in-residence this Shabbat. On Shabbat afternoon, Rabbi Cherlow will speak at 6:30pm on “A Spiritual Perspective on the Israeli-Arab Conflict,” and after the 7:25pm Mincha, on “In What State is ‘The State’? A Spiritual Perspective on the Challenges Facing Israel After 60 Years of Independence.” Rabbi Cherlow will also give the Hashkama shiur on”Social Justice and the Foundations of Faith, The Pursuit of Social Justice in Israel Today.”

Torah in the AM

{     Meeting Tuesday & Thursday, from 9:00am to noon, Torah in the AM provides an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in shiurim and Chavruta study. We thank Richie Heisler of Butterflake for providing the cookies each week.

Keter Torah News

{     Keter Torah is hosting an event this Sunday. Parking spaces will be available for Mincha / Ma’ariv, but, if possible, please walk to shul.

{     The community-wide Yom Hazikaron observance and Yom Ha’atzmaut celebration will take place this Wednesday, May 7, at 7:15pm at Keter Torah.

{     Next Sunday, May 11, at 7:30pm, Keter Torah will host the premier Bergen County screening of the film “Lonely Man of Faith: The Life and Legacy of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik.” This community-wide event will include a panel discussion featuring Rabbi Yosef Adler, Rabbi Jacob J. Schacter and Rabbi Michael Taubes, distinguished students of The Rav.
