Keter Torah Annual Dinner

{     Dr. Isaiah M. Gafni, Professor of Jewish History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, will speak tonight, at 8:30pm, on “Was Adam Jewish? Were the Avot Rabbis? Did Hazal ‘Rabbinize’ the Past? {     Meeting Tuesday & Thursday, from 8:50am to noon, Torah in the AM provides an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in shiurim and Chavruta study

 

Keter Torah News

{     This Sunday from 10:00am to 3:30pm, Keter Torah will host the Belz School of Jewish Music for a day dedicated to upgrading the quality of davening. Presenters will include Cantors Bernard Beer, Sherwood Goffin, Joseph Malovany, and Yaakov Motzen & Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb; Rabbi Baum will give a Dvar Torah. Sessions are free and open to all. {     Rabbi Baum will be visiting students in Israel at the end of February. If you have not already done so, please e-mail him at rabbibaum@ketertorah.org with school and contact information.

{     The annual Chevra Kadisha Zayin Adar observancewill take place this Wednesday at Beth Aaron. A special Mincha and vayechal laining for those fasting will begin at 5:00pm, with the seuda beginning at approximately 6:00pm. Rabbi Zvi Romm, Rabbi of the Bialystoker Synagogue, will speak. {     On Friday night, March 7, Keter Torah and SPARK are proud to host Shabbat Across America. This National Jewish Outreach program will begin with a prayer workshop at 5:45pm and continue with dinner at 6:30pm. ATARA News            

{     “Kindermusik with Ms. K,” a “Mommy and Me” program for babies up to 18 months old, continues this Thursday at 9:45am at Keter Torah. For information, contact Jennifer Saal at 201-837-8712.

{     ATARA is sponsoring a visit to the Yeshiva University Museum and will participate in a Purim mask workshop on Sunday, March 2, from 10:00am-11:00am, or from 11:00am-12:00noon. Details to follow.

{     ATARA Annual Membership Event will be held on Sunday, March 16, from 8:00pm-9:30pm.

 

Community News

{     SINAI's annual benefit dinner will take place this Sunday, February 10. SINAI serves children with special needs throughout the community. For reservations or donations, go to www.sinaidinner.org.
