Torah in the AM

{     Meeting Tuesday & Thursday, from 8:50am to noon, Torah in the AM provides an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in shiurim and Chavruta study.

{     Any family wishing to sponsor the Parent and Child Learning and Breakfast & Learn raffle prizes or the weekly Pizza and Parasha class should contact Rabbi Baum at rabbibaum@ketertorah.org.

{     Anyone who would like to join the welcoming committee or be one of the “greeters” in the shul, helping to identify new people in our community, should contact Rabbi Baum.

{     Keter Torah is hosting an event this Sunday. Parking spaces will be available for Mincha/Ma’ariv, but, if possible, please walk to Shul. Davening will be in the Beit Midrash.

{     The next Friday night Carlebach style minyan will be on February 1; thereafter, it will take place monthly, every Shabbat Mevarchim.

{     On Sunday, February 10, from 10:00am to 3:30pm, Keter Torah will host the Belz School of Jewish Music for a day dedicated to upgrading the quality of davening of young adults, laymen, and professionals. Presenters will include Cantors Bernard Beer, Sherwood Goffin, Joseph Malovany, Yaakov Motzen & Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb; Rabbi Baum will give a Dvar Torah. Community News

{     This Tuesday at 8:15pm at Beth Aaron, Rav Baruch Simon, a Rosh Yeshiva at YU, will continue his weekly shiur on contemporary halachic issues.

{     A new text-based daytime shiur will take place on Thursday mornings, 9:15-10:30am, from January 31 to March 13 at Yeshivat Noam, 70 Century Road, Paramus. For more information contact joschoor@yahoo.com or esteekirsch@yahoo.com.

{     Ruchie Axelrod will give a presentation about “Bitachon Having Trust in Hashem,” on Wednesday, January 30, at 8:30pm at Beth Abraham.

{     Several families have expressed interest in a new social skills group for boys ages 12-16 who have Aspergers, PDD, LD or other special needs that affect their social skills development. Ideally, the group would start in March, so please respond as soon as possible to 201-833-1349 or herrmann@ou.org.
