{     Tuesday & Wednesday following the 7:15am minyan – Halacha Shiur with Rabbi Baum.

{     Tuesday at 11:00am – Rabbi Baum’s Navi shiur on Melachim and selections from Tehillim that reflect on David Hamelech’s life.

{     Wednesday at 8:00pm – Rabbi Duvie Weiss’ Gmara shiur, followed by Ma’ariv at 9:00pm.

{     Wednesday at 9:00pm – Weekly shiur with Rabbi Baum on Shivat Tzion, The Return to Zion, as described in Sefer Ezra. The class will review contemporary applications and Responsa on issues such as Aliyah and intermarriage.

{     Thursday at 9:00pm – Rabbi Frand’s shiur via Satellite.

{     A four week series on non-Jewish help in the home will begin next Monday, October 29, at 8:30pm. More information will follow

{     The Matan Mother / Daughter Bat Mitzvah Program, led by Debbie Baum, will begin Wednesday, November 7, at 7:00pm.

Youth News

{     Alan (Shlomo) Veingrad, a former offensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys will speak at the Teen Minyan this Shabbat. Alan is an observant Jew who speaks throughout the country about his experiences. A special thank you to Rabbi Yaakov Glasser of the New Jersey Region of NSCY and to Adam Melzer for arranging this appearance. The Teen Minyan begins at 9:15am and Alan will speak at approxiamtey 11:00am.

 

Keter Torah Oneg

{     Next Friday night at 8:45pm, Keter Torah & Project Ezrah will host an “Ask the Rav” Oneg Shabbat with HaRav HaGaon Rav Asher Weiss. After a short presentation by Rav Weiss, the community will have the opportunity to pose Halachic and Hashkafic questions. Refreshments will be served. To sponsor, contact Rabbi Baum.

{     Project Ezrah’s annual dinner, honoring Bruce Weinrib as Guest of Honor and Young Leadership awardees Avi & Becky Katz, will be held on Motzei Shabbat, October 27, at 8:00pm at Keter Torah. For more information and reservations, call 201-569-9047.

{     Due to the Project Ezrah dinner next Motzei Shabbat, no parking spaces will be available for those attending Rabbi Reisman’s shiur. Your understanding is appreciated.

 

ATARA News

{     Mitzvah Day will be held on Sunday, November 4, from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Solomon Schechter Day School in New Milford. Ages 4 and up are welcome, but adults must accompany children. {     This Monday at 8:30pm, the 5th Annual Yartzeit of Rachel Imenu Worldwide Video event for women, featuring shiurim by Rebbitzen Tzipora Heller and Rebbitzen Tehila Jaeger, will take place at Bnai Yeshurun.

{     HaRav Hershel Schachter will give a weekly shiur on Masechet Brachot beginning this Thursday at 9:00pm at Bnai Yeshurun.
