Welcome Back!

It seems like summer just began and yet it has already drawn to an end! We hope that all of our KTYD kids have had an enjoyable experience and are looking forward to a wonderful year together. All information on upcoming events and programming can be found in our new Youth Catalog, which will be mailed out in September. If you do not receive one, please contact the office. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our youth leaders for the 2006-2007 year.

S.L.A.M.

S.L.A.M is a Shabbat afternoon program for 4-8 grade boys and girls that will meet on the first two weeks of every month between mincha  and maariv

The S.L.A.M program is one that will benefit not only the children that participate, but will also enrich all of our homes and lives.  Our hope and dream is that the growth of our community will come through the educational and spiritual development of the many beautiful kids that fill our synagogue.  For this year, we have chosen to delve into the Holidays.  We will designate a specific holiday each month and devote our attention to it.  Through stories, games, and special activities we will gain a real connection to the Holiday and have our yomim tovim enhanced tremendously.

Thank You

The KTYD would like to extend a special thank you to Michael Kastner and Glatt Express for providing the food for our “End of the year camping” trip.

Leader in the Spotlight!

 (A Monthly Feature)

We would like to welcome the new leaders to our KTYD family. We are looking forward to a great year together.

Ariella Levie

Ariella will be entering Seventh grade at the Yavneh Academy this coming September. She has spent one month of the summer working in a back yard camp, which has helped prepare her for her work at Keter Torah. I am sure her kind and gentle nature will make her an exceptional leader, we are looking forward to having her join our staff!

Dovid Baum

Dovid will be a fifth grader this coming September. Dovid has worked with many of our KT kids this summer and they have quickly grown to adore him. Some of Dovid’s favorite hobbies include: hockey and baseball. We our looking forward to a great year with him!

Talia Greenstein

Talia will be an Eighth grader at Yavneh Academy this coming September. She has worked with many of our KT kids this summer, and they have quickly grown to adore her. Talia’s favorite hobby is ice skating, and she is currently taking lessons to enhance this skill.  We our looking forward to having Talia as part of our KT family!
